Rest in Me

Consecrate yourself to me. Set yourself apart for my Kingdom ways of living. Give no mind to selfish ambition but set your mind on things above. Rest your life in my unwavering love for you and know I will never let you down or betray your trust in me. You are my child and I protect those who are loyal to me.

Can a leopard change its spots? So why would I turn my back on you? Why would I lead you down a path just to break your heart and pull the rug out from underneath you? You question my ability to take care of you, yet you say you believe and trust in me alone. Are you fully surrendered to me or are you only partially telling the truth?

Let your heart rest in me and in my covenant promises over your life. You have nothing to fear except your own abilities. Apart from me you can do nothing. I am the God of true miracles and I will carry you through this life. You have believed me for the smaller things but when it comes to things that are larger than life you lose faith in me.

Why is it that the measurements of man can never equal out to me? That is because I am your God and Creator and the depth of me can never be measured. See to it that you continuously go back to my Word and reexamine it. Recount my covenantal promises over the children of God and see my hand at work in every part of their lives. Time after time I rescue my people and not once did my promises ever fail. Surely you find hope in my promises and know that each one of them apply to your life.

Be transparent when you come and approach my throne. Let me know your weaknesses and where your faith needs strengthening. Do you not understand that I will provide for all of your needs? Ask me for more and I will gladly give you everything you need. All your hope and trust can be placed in me. You have nothing to worry about when you place your trust in me.

Climb aboard on my train. Take a ride with me. Let me take you to places you never dreamed you would be. Let me sweep you off your feet and remove the burdens that you carry. I don’t have to remove you from difficult situations for you to continue to have my peace. Too many times, you continue to take matters back into your own hands and not enjoy the ride. Can’t a Father provide for his children and ease the burden a bit? Can you allow me to do this thing for you? Can you relinquish control of your life enough to rest your thoughts in me?

My peace I give to you, not as the world would give, but a residing peace that will carry you through every situation you face. My peace surpasses every situation you find yourself in and calms your frazzled nerves. All you have to do is come to me and let me breathe my breath of life back into you. Your peace of mind you seek can only be found in the presence of YAHWEH.
