Come Follow Me
Picture this: Your life and what it would be like without me. Can you see where your life would be? Can you picture yourself living day to day without my hope of eternity within your heart? Can you envision the dullness your heart would feel each and every day? What a struggle – pushing yourself every day to keep on living knowing there’s no end in sight to the drag and pull of everyday life.
Why would people want to live that way? Why would so many oppose what I have to give? I offer life everlasting with me for all eternity, a life filled with joy and my very presence filling your entire being. Each day you get to come into my presence and be filled with my endless joy. There is nothing to compare yourself with when you are without me, except an endless silence full of void.
But I have come into the world to give you life more abundant and free. There’s nothing you have to do, but accept my offer to save your life and you simply follow me. I will fill your heart with the sweetest joy and the absolute reassurance of being with me in paradise for all eternity. There is no better feeling than the security you will feel knowing that no matter what takes place in your life, you are continuously with me. I abide with you and you abide with me, together for all eternity. All your security and reassurance lie with me.
Take my hand and walk with me. Let me lead you where you need to go. I have a beautiful plan for your life and all you have to do is let go of what you’ve been holding onto and follow close to me. It’s quite simple you see. Resign from your tight-fisted grip on life as you know it and come follow me. I have everything that you need, so just trust and put your faith in me.
I understand the complications in your life, I see you every day. Come and taste and see the goodness of your life when it’s lived in me. See how much your life will have fullness, purpose, and meaning, when you surrender your life to follow me. Grace and peace will abide in you wherever you go and you will feel it in everything you set your hand to do. My presence will abide with you all the days of your life and all throughout eternity.
For those who have decided to come and follow me, I give you my peace and direction for your life for all eternity. For those who continue to push away from me, know my love for you will continuously flow for you. There is nothing you could do or say to keep my love from you. Your time is limited, though, here on earth, and unless you choose to follow me, you can expect a hollow feeling and joyless living while here on earth. Nothing will bring you satisfaction as you fill your life with things. Choose this day whom you will follow. Will you choose hollow, lifeless living, or will you follow me? I have all that you need and more, but I leave that choice up to you.
Joshua 24:14-15 The Voice
14 So remember: fear the Eternal and serve Him sincerely and faithfully. Put away from you any gods your ancestors served across the Euphrates River or in Egypt, and serve only Him. 15 If you decide that you’re not willing to serve Him, then today is the day for you to choose whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors bowed to in the land beyond the great River, or the gods of the Amorites whose country you possess. But as for me and my family, we will serve the Eternal.
John 10:10 The Voice
10 The thief approaches with malicious intent, looking to steal, slaughter, and destroy; I came to give life with joy and abundance.
John 12:44-50 New English Translation
44 But Jesus shouted out, “The one who believes in me does not believe in me, but in the one who sent me, 45 and the one who sees me sees the one who sent me. 46 I have come as a light into the world, so that everyone who believes in me should not remain in darkness. 47 If anyone hears my words and does not obey them, I do not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 The one who rejects me and does not accept my words has a judge; the word I have spoken will judge him at the last day. 49 For I have not spoken from my own authority, but the Father himself who sent me has commanded me[k] what I should say and what I should speak. 50 And I know that his commandment is eternal life. Thus, the things I say, I say just as the Father has told me.”
Matthew 4:19 The Voice
Jesus: 19 Come, follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.
Psalm 34:8 New Life Version
8 O taste and see that the Lord is good. How happy is the man who trusts in Him!
