Habitual Sin
Consequences come because of premeditated sin. The choices you make cause separation from me. You make calls that should never have been and then there are consequences to your sins. How I yearn to call you back into the fold where you are safe here with me. How I want to be close to you, yet you pull away again and again.
How I delight to spend time together just you and I with nothing separating us. Your life close to mine and meeting together one-on-one. The closeness we share cannot compare to any attraction to sin. The days and nights that we share together should enable you to keep far away from sin.
But time spent away from me gives sin a doorway to enter in. Your carelessness and coldness towards me cause a doorway to open and sin to enter in and take up residence in you. How easy it would be to just shut that door immediately but you have given it ample time to slip right in.
What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet lose his own soul? You have made many good choices over the years yet it only takes one bad one to ruin a reputation for good. How many opportunities have I given you to choose what is right? How many times must my life be sacrificed to satisfy your need to sin? What was a one-time sin became a need to do it again and again. Habitual sin must be broken by falling on your knees and coming to me again and again.
How good it is to fall into my arms and repent of the sin that continues to make you fall. How good it feels to lift that burden off of your shoulders and bring you back to me. I hate to see you suffer day after day not knowing what to do or what to say. I want to help you become the man or woman you were meant to be but you must turn away from your habitual sin.
Recognize your life is in my hands. There is no place you can hide from me and the enemy will never give you a break. He is relentless in his pursuit of those who have chosen to follow me. Your only choice is to repent and come back to me. I will forgive you and set you free if you will only see your sin for what it truly has caused you to become.
Your life was never supposed to be entangled by so much sin. Your life is meant to be lived in my everlasting embrace. Let go of the grip on sin you continue to pursue and grasp hold of my mighty hand. See your life as it should be lived and let me help you walk victoriously. See the way your life can be lived in the grip of my glorious victory over sin. You have so much more to give if you will only surrender your life over to me. I can break the cord that ties you to habitual sin.
