Lost Souls
Hear my words today, for my heart is heavy for those who do not obey my voice and continue to go their own way. They are lost to me and they continue to live life their way headed towards destruction. I made them in my very image, yet they don’t see it that way. I need my children who know me and seek me out to reach out to those who continue to ignore my voice. Don’t let their stubbornness get in the way. You continue to pray and speak your words of love to them. My Spirit will do the work that you cannot. My Spirit will speak to their mind and appeal to their heart. But you are my spokesmen and you must do your part.
Too many just think they already have heard and already know about my love but that is not true. So many are hungering and thirsting for more of me but they just can’t put their finger on it as to why they feel the way they do. It is your job to show them what real love is. It’s your job to help them to see there’s another way to live. This world offers them every offering of sin and lust, but it can never fill the gaping hole that resides within them. They are lost souls who need to be found and you are my lights that will show them the way.
So many feel they’ve lost their security in this world and the reality is they never had it in the first place. The only security they will find will be found in a relationship with me. They hold so tightly to things they do not even understand. They begin to lose their grip on reality because the things they hold onto in this world cannot hold them up or give them the love back that they so desperately need.
I need you to be a light continuously shining in their lives. Do not conform to the things of this world, but be holy and set apart, filled with my Spirit – a shining light for all to see. This is how you will draw them to me. This is how you are a loving example to the lost all around you. The worldly pleasures preach to them constantly, but what are you preaching to those who desperately need me?
Let your light shine brightly before men. Let your life be a constant reminder of the love and security they’re missing. Their lives will never be satisfied by indulging in sin and the lifestyle they’ve built will only cave in. Be there for them in the thick of things and always remind them of my love for them. Be relentless in your own pursuit of me and fill your heart and mind with my goodness and my love. Be rejuvenated by my Spirit each day so you are equipped to handle the things coming your way each day. You are my light-bearers and I need your hands and feet each and every day.
John 3:16-17 The Voice
16 For God expressed His love for the world in this way: He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not face everlasting destruction, but will have everlasting life. 17 Here’s the point. God didn’t send His Son into the world to judge it; instead, He is here to rescue a world headed toward certain destruction.
Luke 15:1-7 New Century Version
15 The tax collectors and sinners all came to listen to Jesus. 2 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law began to complain: “Look, this man welcomes sinners and even eats with them.” 3 Then Jesus told them this story: 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep but loses one of them. Then he will leave the other ninety-nine sheep in the open field and go out and look for the lost sheep until he finds it. 5 And when he finds it, he happily puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. He calls to his friends and neighbors and says, ‘Be happy with me because I found my lost sheep.’ 7 In the same way, I tell you there is more joy in heaven over one sinner who changes his heart and life, than over ninety-nine good people who don’t need to change.
