Made Righteous Only By My Blood
A covenant of my blood has been shed for you so that you are made righteous for me. This is not something you could do for me or earn in my sight. You are made righteous only by my blood. Do not presume that your righteous acts amount to anything, for it is only by my blood that you become a shining light for me. Many have thought all their righteous acts for me put them in a higher position but that’s not true at all. Greater responsibilities are given to those who are obedient to my Word and my calling on their lives. It is not their works that make them righteous, but only my blood.
Many things man has done has become filthy rags to me and these are worthless acts done only for their vanity. See the world and my people as I see. Know my heart and what I desire from you. You are accountable only to me and not to the desires of men. You are my glorious creation and you are accountable to your one and only King. Look around you and you’ll see many disappointed faces. These are the faces of many who look to man instead of me. They think they will find happiness in the things of this world, but then they are left empty as a cave.
Everlasting joy, peace, and peace of mind, are found in your pursuit of me. Many of these people have been looking in the wrong places. Their hope is lost and their minds are empty of enlightenment that comes only by seeking me. What joy can they receive from only the praises of men? Nothing in this world is eternal and there is only momentary light in their eyes. Soon it fades and becomes only a thing of the past. Eternal joy is what they are missing.
When you seek eternal things, things worth living and dying for, your heart will overflow like a cup being continually filled to overflowing with water. Blessings will flow from your life and you won’t be able to contain them all. This is what it’s like to serve the risen King. Nothing will be gained that is stale or old, but everything will be brand new as if you’ve never experienced it before. Renewed hope each and every day and joy that floods your heart and mind as you seek me day by day.
What can be gained by attaining the whole world? Emptiness and a void that can never be filled. Why lose your soul to the things of this world, when you can have peace of mind with me each and every day. I will not leave you as orphans and not take care of your needs. You are born to be more than conquerors in the way I created you for me. You are my blessed children and I designed you to come to me. You are my co-laborers in the field and I will supply all that you need. You never have to worry about your supply and demand because I will be your supplier of everything you need. You can truly count on me. Don’t look to the world to supply your needs, but look to your generous King of all kings to supply all your needs. I will give you everything you need to live this life victoriously. Hope springs eternal as you put your trust in me.
Matthew 26:26-28 New Century Version
26 While they were eating, Jesus took some bread and thanked God for it and broke it. Then he gave it to his followers and said, “Take this bread and eat it; this is my body.” 27 Then Jesus took a cup and thanked God for it and gave it to the followers. He said, “Every one of you drink this. 28 This is my blood which is the new agreement that God makes with his people. This blood is poured out for many to forgive their sins.
Romans 3:10-18 New Living Translation
10 As the Scriptures say,
“No one is righteous—
not even one.
11 No one is truly wise;
no one is seeking God.
12 All have turned away;
all have become useless.
No one does good,
not a single one.”
13 “Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave.
Their tongues are filled with lies.”
“Snake venom drips from their lips.”
14 “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”
15 “They rush to commit murder.
16 Destruction and misery always follow them.
17 They don’t know where to find peace.”
18 “They have no fear of God at all.”
Romans 3:21-26 New Living Translation
21 But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. 22 We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. 23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24 Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. 25 For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, 26 for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus.
Isaiah 64:6 New International Reader’s Version
6 All of us have become like someone who is “unclean.”
All the good things we do are like dirty rags to you.
All of us are like leaves that have dried up.
Our sins sweep us away like the wind.
Matthew 6:31-33 New International Reader’s Version
31 So don’t worry. Don’t say, ‘What will we eat?’ Or, ‘What will we drink?’ Or, ‘What will we wear?’ 32 People who are ungodly run after all those things. Your Father who is in heaven knows that you need them. 33 But put God’s kingdom first. Do what he wants you to do. Then all those things will also be given to you.
