Quit Pursuing Folly
My heart is full of sadness for those who have run far away from me. Their hearts are cold and empty, floundering around looking for the next thing to make them happy. But no matter how long and hard they look it will all come to nothing.
Sadness fills my heart for them because they could have so much more. The happiness they seek will never be found. No joy will ever fill their hearts as they continue to run hard away from me. It is a fool’s errand to run and look to everything but me and expect to find fulfillment in their foolish dreams.
Research your heart and mind. See if there is anything that you are chasing after that does not honor me. What can you gain in this world if it does not honor me? Pursue the right things that will bring you unending joy and fulfillment. Fools chase after everything that catches their eye giving them instant pleasure. But you must chase after the things I put on your heart that will last long after the initial pleasure.
Let me give you the desires of your heart. Let me show you how to truly live. Let me show you what you were created to do giving you pleasure you’ve never experienced before. Let me take you by the hand and guide your every decision. Let me take your hand and lead you out onto my dance floor and teach you moves you’ve never experienced before. You cannot experience what you were designed to do if you’ve never fully given yourself over to me.
Take the steps needed to draw closer to me. I cannot make you dance with me if you are not willing to even step out onto the floor. Your resistance to me comes from your fear of man and what others will think of you. You cannot envision living your life in me because you’ve believed the lies that have been told to you.
It is time to make your decision to follow after me and leave the things of this world behind. It’s time to quit pursuing folly and pursue the very heart of me. You cannot see the very good that’s right in front of you and you return to your vomit just like a dog. Don’t you know you were made for so much more? Don’t you see the golden platter I am placing before you? You were made to do exceedingly more than you can think or imagine – yet you continually settle for only what you know.
I stand at the door of your heart and knock waiting for you to finally answer me. What will it take to get your attention and bring you back to me? Open your eyes and see the good vision I have for you. See the many things you could accomplish for my Kingdom. You have but one life to live on Earth and the rest is your eternity. Will you spend it celebrating your victories or will you live in regret for all eternity?
