Kindness and goodness are much needed today to fulfill my will on the earth. Too many are absorbed with themselves and what is taking place in their own lives. But my Kingdom is not like that. To be absorbed in only yourself comes from the Father of Lies. He causes your eyes to be focused only on yourself and not on the plight of others. You seek me for guidance and to fulfill all of your needs, but you don’t even glance at your own brother or sister who is in a place of dire need.
There are things within your own hearts that need some weeding-out. Things that cause you to only think of yourself and your own needs. A selfie stick is not what you need, but a mirror instead. See who you truly are and the thoughts that occupy your head. What do you see as you look in the mirror? Do you see only yourself, or do you see a reflection of me?
Let your light so shine for all to see that the image they see, is an image of me. Reflect my love to everyone you encounter. Do not be so self-absorbed you have no time to help take care of the needs of your brother. There is nothing more beautifying than giving of yourself and your time for another.
This is the season to reflect upon my birth. I was the first gift of Christmas. My life was given so that you might live and learn to live your life as a sacrifice just like me. You were made in my image, so learn to lay down your life for others just as I did. There’s no one else like you. You were uniquely made by me. I have given you unique qualities that make you just the way you are. No one can do the things you do or say things just like you. That’s why I have appointed you to be my messenger of love to all the people you meet. Who else can smile like you and see the things you do? Who better to be my messenger of love to all those you meet and greet each day.
Do you see your purpose here on earth for only what you see with your human eyes? Do you not know that you were made to meet all the people you interact with each day? You are my Ambassador of Christ-love. You have been equipped with gifts from above to engage with others in a way that others cannot. See yourself in a supernatural way. Only you can do what I created you to do.
You were made for so much more! You were made to glorify the King of all kings. You are royalty but not to serve yourself, you were made to glorify me. Ask not what I can do for you, but ask what you can do for me. It’s time to reverse your thinking and magnify the King of all kings with all that you are. You were made for glorious things and to shine a light on my Kingdom. Come and learn from me and let me show you who you were meant to be.
Psalm 138:1-6 New Living Translation
1 I give you thanks, O Lord, with all my heart;
I will sing your praises before the gods.
2 I bow before your holy Temple as I worship.
I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness;
for your promises are backed
by all the honor of your name.
3 As soon as I pray, you answer me;
you encourage me by giving me strength.
4 Every king in all the earth will thank you, Lord,
for all of them will hear your words.
5 Yes, they will sing about the Lord’s ways,
for the glory of the Lord is very great.
6 Though the Lord is great, he cares for the humble,
but he keeps his distance from the proud.
James 1:22-25 New Living Translation
22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. 24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. 25 But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.
Matthew 5:16 The Voice
16 You are like that illuminating light. Let your light shine everywhere you go, that you may illumine creation, so men and women everywhere may see your good actions, may see creation at its fullest, may see your devotion to Me, and may turn and praise your Father in heaven because of it.
Philippians 2:3-8 The Voice
3 Don’t let selfishness and prideful agendas take over. Embrace true humility, and lift your heads to extend love to others. 4 Get beyond yourselves and protecting your own interests; be sincere, and secure your neighbors’ interests first. 5 In other words, adopt the mind-set of Jesus the Anointed. Live with His attitude in your hearts. Remember:
6 Though He was in the form of God,
He chose not to cling to equality with God;
7 But He poured Himself out to fill a vessel brand new;
a servant in form
and a man indeed.
The very likeness of humanity,
8 He humbled Himself,
obedient to death—
a merciless death on the cross!
