Why Are You Worried?
Come and be with me and dwell with me and share what’s on your heart today. For I see the things that burden your heart and I know what things you carry around in your heart. These were never meant to burden you so and create a cloud upon your heart. Rest your mind and give a rest to your thoughts. Bring these things to me and release them here with me.
Why do you worry so? Why do you feel you have to carry these things and not release control over to me? What makes you think it’s up to you to manipulate and control everything that takes place around you? Did you form the universe in the palm of your hand? Were you there when I placed each star in its place? How much more control do you think you have? Can you ever manipulate enough of your circumstances to compete with me?
Sit here with me and empty out those thoughts that you hold so tightly to in your hands. What good does it do your mind, heart, and soul, to think you can out-think me? Who knew you before you were even formed in your mother’s womb? Who placed the markers in your life so you would come to me? Who provided the very air that you breathe? It is I, your YHWH, who provides for all your needs. It is I, who sees you carrying around burdens needlessly. For, nothing can ever be accomplished by your incessant worrying.
Worry fills your heart with fear and dread likes to accompany it. You invite the darkness to come and fill your mind when you entertain this sin. Yes, to be allowing worry, fear, and dread into your mind shows your lack of faith and trust in me. Repent of thinking you can take control of every situation that comes into your life. That is not how I created you to live and I made you much better than that.
Come and sit in my presence and get real with me. Don’t keep me at a distance where you think you can even control me. Know who I am and understand that I love you with an everlasting love. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for you and this is why I discipline you to bring you closer to me. I am being firm with you because what you’ve been doing is only hurting yourself and this hurts me as well. You are my Bride and I want only the very best for your life; the life I created you to live.
You were never meant to live life in a controlling manner. I have given you free will to choose to follow me. Life circumstances and the choices of others have caused you to feel you must defend yourself and guard others from hurting you. But when you surrender fully to me, I will be your rear guard and my hand of protection will cover you. It’s important to me that you learn a new way to think so that you can truly be free to live the way I created and planned for you to live.
Freedom will begin to abound in your life in ways you never imagined before when you quietly sit in my presence and let me shower you in my love. Control will never bring freedom into your life, only the bondage of sin and sickness covering your heart. Understand how my order for living works and being obedient to my ways of living and thinking, will bring true healing, freedom, and life to your mind and heart.
