Distractions And Busyness
Minds have been distracted and carried away by a myriad of thoughts. It’s hard to speak and be heard by the constant interruption of thought. Come focus on me in the quiet of the morning or the stillness of the night. Let all the distractions of noise and busyness be put away for now. Come into my presence with fullness of joy and praise and worship that is available to you today. I am right here waiting for you and all you have to do is come sit and spend time with me today.
It’s hard to put so many distractions away from your mind because many are designed to do so. These devices are made to help you navigate easily, but they are also a deviation from the greatest good you could ever receive. Your time spent alone with me will bring the greatest solace and peace to your heart and mind. Your thoughts go to and fro and you barely have control on all that flows through your mind. Spending time with me in the quiet of the day will help your mind function in a whole new way.
When you spend time in worship and praise and adoration of me, it takes your mind off of these other pressing matters. The busyness just fades away and your mind is elevated to a place where you can receive from me. Receiving from me will prepare you for the days that are ahead. The things that are coming will require you to spend time in my presence, receiving my instructions that come from me. It’s in this time where you will see visions of the future and receive words and thoughts coming from me. I want to communicate with you, but you must be open and ready to receive my words given to you.
What are you doing with the time that’s been given to you? Where you go, I am always with you. You can talk to me anywhere at any time. But take the time to be still and quiet focusing all your attention on quieting your heart before me. Let all the things that distract you, like your phone or computer, be turned off for a few minutes as you spend time with me. These devices can be used for good, but you also need this time with me. It is only a benefit to you to spend quality time alone with me.
You are at your best and finest when you come and talk and listen to me. Who better to give you instructions for your day, than me? Who is going to lead you onto the path of victory? Who will never lead you astray? Who has your best and finest in mind when you tell me what’s ahead in your day? Who controls the wind and the waves and tells the seas in your life to be calm? Who can show you the path to everlasting life and show you how to live a life worth living?
I am with you always even to the end of the age, and no one can take the closeness we have away from you. This oneness that we have can only be removed by your willful disobedience to me and your rejection of my love for you. Don’t waste the time that’s been given to you by running away from me. Ask and you will receive from me and knock and I will open the doors of opportunity for you. You need only ask and I will lavish my love upon you, now and forevermore. All you need to do is ask and I will give to you a good measure back, pressed down, shaken, and overflowing so that you receive all that you can take in from me.
Psalm 46:10 The Voice
10 “Be still, be calm, see, and understand I am the True God.
I am honored among all the nations.
I am honored over all the earth.”
Psalm 16:9-11 The Voice
9 This is a good life—my heart is glad, my soul is full of joy,
and my body is at rest.
Who could want for more?
10 You will not abandon me to experience death and the grave
or leave me to rot alone.
11 Instead, You direct me on the path that leads to a beautiful life.
As I walk with You, the pleasures are never-ending,
and I know true joy and contentment.
Psalm 139:8-10 Good News Translation
8 If I went up to heaven, you would be there;
if I lay down in the world of the dead, you would be there.
9 If I flew away beyond the east
or lived in the farthest place in the west,
10 you would be there to lead me,
you would be there to help me.
Mark 4:41 New Living Translation
41 The disciples were absolutely terrified. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “Even the wind and waves obey him!”
Luke 6:38 New Living Translation
38 Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back. [a]”
